What was your motivation to join ICCA?

Our need and our pleasure in bringing people together. We saw after a long period where people could not meet, not so long ago, how important the face to communication is and how much pleasure it gives people. It´s also more effective.

Tell us your story. How g-events DMC | PCO​ started?

The founder had been working for the biggest PCO´s and DMC´s in Iceland as a supplier for many years and from the very beginning I felt this was a very appealing field of work.

What sets g-events DMC | PCO apart?

Our approach, for clients interested in going little bit out of the box, is a bit different and we offer solutions for those interested, that are little bit more outside the box. Also since our clients come from various time zones all over the world, we response to our clients 16 hours a day.

What is your favourite success story from your organisation?

When guests and client having a big and annual international conference in Iceland that is held all over the world told us the one we organized for them was the best one they ever had.

The Venue proactively evaluates and adapts its policies and practices and has acted across all areas of the business to become more sustainable. It has received Silver accreditations from Green Tourism and Greengage Solutions and has been working closely with both organisations on ways in which we can continue to deliver improvements and innovations. These accreditations recognise hotels and conference venues that meet high standards of sustainability.

What can we expect to see from g-events DMC | PCO in the future?

Iceland hosts most conferences in the world pr. capita so with our great infrastructure in Iceland i expect g-events DMC | PCO to organise many conferences and meetings in Iceland in the future. 

Which trends do you see in the Association Meetings?

I feel like we see more attendees mixing work and pleasure together every year for example by extending their stay in Iceland. I feel it´s growing every year.

What is an industry challenge your organisation is facing currently? 

Mostly that some big conferences are held locally inside the clients countries all over the world but the smaller one´s held by same clients are held internationally. It would be better for us if the clients would consider taking the big one´s internationally as well.
